What are the skills?

The skills involve checking in and noticing your state of stress or reward 10 times daily based on a five-point scale:

  • 1 - balance and reward
  • 2 - balance
  • 3 - on the verge of a stress response
  • 4 - stress
  • 5 - stress and cravings

For each state, there is a specific skill that most effectively gets you from stress to joy at that brain state.

Each time you use the skills, you change your state and your wiring. You experience an immediate benefit in mood, stress, cravings and rewards. In addition, there is a cumulative effect of using this skill. In time, and with more effective use of the tools, the brain appears to become rewired to increase resilience and change your happiness set point.

The combination of more resilience to stress and a stronger wiring to favor happiness creates a life of joy.
