Solution for Weight
This popular 8-week course requires the prerequisite of Wired for Joy. If you want to lose weight, why not start with lifting your mood, which is the focus of Wired for Joy.
The next step is to move through this journal. Here is a partial list of activities:
- Clean up the food environment
- Develop an exercise plan
- Identify 1-2-3 Foods you enjoy. Buy them.
- Begin daily Intimacy Connections – 10 minutes of using Emotional Housecleaning to share feelings. Nobody home? Use a Wilson ball or your cat!
- Use "Words Not Weight" to turn off the drive to stay heavy and regain the weight you’ve lost.
- Practice positive and negative emotional expression by saying the feeling words 100 times per week.
- Start collecting Joy Points to fill up your pleasure pathways with surges of neurotransmitters, thus turning off the drive to overeat.
- Use the Cravings Zapper to stop or prevent an eating binge.
Enjoy this great course, then return to your Solution Group or Telegroup. If you prefer, use this course as part of your training in the Solution Method instead of completing a regular kit (1 to 6) during your 12-week session.
Tips for Success:
- Don’t take this course unless immediate weight loss feels like a nurturing act. Instead, if weight is an issue, work on the underlying causes by taking Wired for Freedom. It’s a fabulous course for those who want to focus on binge eating, numbing out, rescuing or people pleasing others, or combining overeating with other chemicals.
- Enjoy losing weight by creating more joy in your life. If you feel discouraged or sorry for yourself, check in and identify your number on the Five-Point Scale. Chances are you’re at 4 or 5. Use The Cycle Tool or The Damage Control Tool. Get back to JOY. It’s the best appetite suppressant there is!
